Notre Dame managed to hold off Denver’s late rally and dropped the Pioneers 11-9 at home on Saturday. ND jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, besides allowing Denver to sneak to within a goal (10 to 9) late before scoring putting the game on ice with about a minute to play.
Despite the Denver loss, Ethan Walker continued his tear putting up 5 goals for the Pioneers. But the duo of Brendan Gleason (4 goals) and Bryan Costabile (3 goals) proved to be too much as The Irish held on for the victory.
And let me say this very plainly. Costabile is a beast. Dude has a canon both spotting up and on the run, so I’ll be watching him a lot more closely as the weeks go on.
