The Notre Dame Fighting Irish traveled out to The Shoe to play Ohio State, and after allowing the Buckeyes to get within a goal with 2:41 left in the fourth, they managed to hold on for the one goal win on the road.

All tied up at five’s at the break, Ohio State scored the third quarters lone goal to take a 6-5 lead into the fourth quarter.

Ryder Garnsey notted things up early in the fourth and Brendan Gleason gave ND the lead under a minute later. Mickey Wynne gave Notre Dame a two goal lead with 9:56 remaining in the fourth, and The Irish never let up from there, going back up by two before allowing Osu Jasinski a goal just inside three minutes.

Matt Schmidt played tough in cage for Notre Dame, as did Josh Kirson for Ohio State.

Mikey Wynne, Brendan Gleason and Ryder Garnsey all dropped two goals each for Notre Dame. Ohio State was lead by Tre Leclaire as he torched all scorers on the day with 3 goals and 2 assists, but alas, it wasn’t enough as Notre Dame gets the win.
