Listen, I don’t want to take anything away from UMBC here. They beat the #1 team in the land, fair and square…kind of. The fact that Connor Fields wasn’t on the field is a big deal. Albany is NOT the #1 team in the country in terms of on field talent when Fields isn’t playing. That is a FACT. But with that said, a win, is a win, is a win, and UMBC put the hurt on Albany dropping the Danes 11-7, and it wasn’t actually that close as it was 11-5 with under 2 minutes to go.

There really isn’t much else to say. Albany looked terrible from the get go. TD did his job and won face-offs, but the offense never got going, and the defense was very soft early, and the rest is history.

Billy Nolan lead the way for UMBC with 3 goals and 2 assists. Steven Zichelli put up 1 goal and 2 assist and Ben Keller and Jack Andrews each put up dueces.

For Albany, it was too little too late for Tehoka Nanticoke as all 3 of his goals came in the 4th quarter, the last two coming with under a minute to play.
