The #2 Duke Blue Devils hosted the #5 Towson Tigers and it was an exciting game seeing the score tied at the end of the first, second and third quarters, and Duke used a 4-2 fourth quarter to edge Towson by a score of 12-10.

Brad Smith was big for Duke scoring 3 goals and an assist and teammate Joey Manown also factored heavily in Duke’s win putting up 2 goals and 2 helpers of his own. The big surprise, Cade Van Raaphorst scored a goal and an assist for the Blue Devils in transition, huge game for the All-American defender.

Brendan Sunday ended up being key for Towson in the loss going for 4 goals and an assist and teammate Timmy Monahan (2g, 1a) and Grant Maloof (1g, 2a) also played well for Towson.

The goalie battle was won by Tyler Canto of Towson as he made 16 saves on the day. Duke’s turner Uppgren wins the war though as he get’s the win in net despite only making 5 saves against Towson’s 15 shots on cage.
