Syracuse played host to Cornell in the Carrier Dome hoping to exact revenge on the Big Red for ending their season a year ago in the same building. That revenge would be realized as Syracuse took it to Cornell early and often on their way to a 13-8 home victory.

Nick Mellon (2 gbs), Drake Porter (10 saves) and the Syracuse defense played incredible holding Jeff Teat to a pedestrian 2 assists (0 goals) and only John Piatelli was able to score more than 2 points for Cornell with 3 goals in the loss.

Syracuse on the other hand saw 3 players put up 3 points with Brad Voigt and Stephen Rehfuss each putting up hatricks, and Brendan Curry went for 2 goals and a dish. Noate Solomon tallied 2 goals and Jamie Trimboli was good for a goal and a helper.

Syracuse looked like a team on a mission all day, playing amazing help defense from opening face-off to final whistle.

The duo of Jakob Phaup and Danny Varello combined to win 17 of 25 draws for Syracuse greatly helping in the Orange controlling time of possession.
