The Duke lacrosse team hosted Notre Dame on Saturday and Duke handled their business and got a much needed win in ACC play against the Fighting Irish by a score of 14-8.

Duke had lost to Syracuse and North Carolina in back to back weekends, and was sitting at 0-2 in ACC play and with Virginian eating North Carolina on Saturday, Duke needed this win. But thanks to a huge game from Nakeie Montgomery who scored a goal with 4 assists, and Joe Robertson was good for 3 goals and 2 helpers in the Duke win. Sean Lowrie started at attack for the Blue Devils and put up 3 goals, and Brad Smith who played mostly midfield on the day scored 3 goals and 2 assists. Turner Uppgren made 9 saves in cage for Duke in the victory.

Notre Dame got a big day out of Connor Morin who scored 4 goals and 2 assists in the Fighting Irish loss. Bryan Costabile scored a goal and a dish and everyone else was pretty quiet. John Zullo looked good in cage for Notre Dame getting his first career start and making 13 saves.
