Michigan played host to #1 Penn State on Saturday and things didn’t go all that well for the Wolverines as they found themselves down 8-1 early before chipping away at the Penn State lead and getting things back to within 3 goals. But alas it wasn’t enough as Penn State went on a 7 goal run after Michigan got to within 10-7 and cruised to the 17-7 victory.

Grant Ament made it look to easy with 1 goal and 6 assists, many of his helpers saw Ament just standing in place and feeding open players all over the field. Mac O’Keefe was the recipient of a couple of those assists en-route to a 4 goal and 1 assist outing and Dylan Foulds was good for 3 goals and 3 assists in the Penn State win. Penn State goalie Colby Kneese made 12 saves against 19 shots on cage.

Avery Myers paced Michigan with 3 goals and an assist, and Bryce Clay (1g, 1a) and Decker Curran (2g) each contributed 2 points. Gunner Garn made 13 saves for Michigan vs 30 shots on cage and got very little help from his defense in the loss.
