Virginia Lacrosse returns a ton of talent for 2020, so today, we talk about the defending National Champions, the Virginia Cavaliers and we’ll discuss their RETURNING players on the 43rd LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast. Not their new recruits. Not every player, but KEY RETURNERS that I think will make an impact in 2020.
UVA returns the best attack group in the country in Michael Kraus, Matt Moore and Ian Laviano. Dox Aitken, one of the best midfielders in the country will look to anchor the midfield, this time without the help of Ryan Conrad, but guys like Jeff Conner will certainly be ready to step up and fill some of the scoring gaps. Petey freakin Lasalla is of course back after having a great rookie season at the face-off X and will need to improve upon his already impressive 8 goals as a fogo to help ease the pain of losing #22 who was very effective off draws in creating transition.
UVA returns a bevy of defensive talent that will make transitioning to defending national champions a bit easier. Alex Rode returns in cage and will look to be more consistent in 2020. Jared Conners, one of the best poles in the country will be the most experienced and accomplished player on that side of the ball, but two starters return on close defense as well in Kyle Kology and Cade Saustad.
