In the weekend action of week 1, we saw Virginia drop Loyola at home, Johns Hopkins got revenge over Towson, Duke picked up their first win by beating up on Asher Nolting and High Point and there were a few other games to talk about, including some D3 action.

Virginia got a healthy dose of Matt Moore and a solid effort in cage out of Alex Rode as they beat a new look Loyola team. Johns Hopkins was without Joey Epstein, but no worries as Cole Williams was good for 3 goals and 4 assists in Hopkins drubbing of Towson. Duke got revenge on High Point for last years upset loss in Durham by dispatching High Point on the road. Duke has struggled against SoCon teams over the last 5 or 6 years early in the season.
