In the featured college lacrosse game of the weekend, the Maryland Terps lacrosse squad put the Big Ten on notice by using a fourth quarter run to separate from fellow undefeated team Rutgers. Jared Bernhardt proved he’s worth of legit Tewaaraton talk by going off for 6 goals and an assist. Daniel Maltz (4g) and Logan Wisnauskas (2g, 2a) also factored heavily for Maryland. Kieran Mullins paced Rutgers with 3 goals and 2 helpers and Adam Charalambides chipped in 4 goals in the Rutgers loss.

Johns Hopkins got a much needed win over Penn State on Saturday and did so in a big way. 13-6 was the final at Homewood as we saw Joey Epstein put up a solid 2 goals and 2 assists, Connor DeSimone proved his move to attack was smart going for 4 goals and an assist in the Hopkins win. Matt Narewski won 12 of 21 draws for Hop helping them gain an edge in the possession battle.

LIU proved they belong in the NEC by knocking off offensive powerhouse Hobart by 2 goals. Richie LaCalandra fronted a powerful offensive attack for LIU with 4 goals and 2 assists, a few of the highlight reel variety. LIU keeper Will Mark was the story of this game however putting up 24 saves vs 36 shots faced. He prevented Hobart from getting any real momentum and that ended up being the difference in this game.
