College lacrosse is now in full swing and there is nothing better than March lacrosse (other than Memorial Day lacrosse). In the biggest rivalry matchup of the weekend, Johns Hopkins hung early with Maryland, but Jared Bernhardt and the Terps proved too much in the end beating Hopkins 18-10.

Syracuse hosted Vermont in the Dome and things got chippy, Vermont hung around, but Syracuse picked up the 17-13 win in the end thanks to big games out the Syracuse attack. Stephen Rehfuss (2g, 6a), Owen Hiltz (4g, 1a) and Chase Scanlan (3g, 1a) all factored heavily in helping Syracuse stave off Tommy Burke’s outstanding day at the faceoff dot for Vermont. Burke won 24 of 34 draws on the day.

Penn State and Rutgers both picked up B1G wins (pun intended) and other teams pulling off victorsy included Georgetown (20-13 over Marquette), Albany (16-6 over Hartford), Army (12-10 over Boston U.), Hobart (13-9 over The Mount), North Carolina, Virginia, Lehigh and more.
