We had a great day of DIII lacrosse action as the NCAA Lacrosse Quarterfinals were played on Saturday in the heat.

Union needed back to back goals with under a minute to play to defeat Gettysburg by a score of 14-13… ***NOTE, I THOUGHT FOR SOME REASON THIS GAME WENT INTO OT, IT DIDN’T, but it was still a hell of a game and I’m just an idiot****.

York and Christopher Newport actually did need an OT period to decide the outcome of their contest. York goalie Jack Michael came up with a couple of huge saves in that overtime period to help keep York alive and allow his offense a chance to win in sudden death, which they did.

RIT beat up on Bowdoin pretty easily. It was close after the first quarter, but RIT rolled from there and went on to win 20-14, but it wasn’t as close as even that score would indicate as RIT at one point held an 18-6 lead prior to emptying the bench.

Tufts and Salisbury, this had the chance to be the best game of the weekend, but Tufts ended up dropping the Seagulls by a score of 17-10. Salisbury was able to get to within 11-9 at one point prior to Tufts putting them away.
