In this weeks Lacrosse Film Review Friday, we are going to take a dive into why I think Cornell Lacrosse will continue to be a very, very good team and will be one of my favorites to make it to the 2023 College Lacrosse Final Four.
The main reason I think they’ll repeat as Final 4 participants is because of the guys they get back. Offensively, CJ Kirst, Michael Long and Hugh Kelleher are all back. Defensively they get their big cat Gavin Adler back as well as Chayse Ierlan in cage.
All of the pieces are there for a repeat performance of their incredible 2022 season and I fully expect them to (a) make the NCAA Tournament and (b) get to at least the quarterfinal round if not the Final 4. I can’t say outright they’ll make it to Memorial Day Weekend, but they have a better chance than almost everyone else other than Virginia in my opinion.
