The UAlbany Great Danes hosted Stony Brook on Saturday and after a pretty close first half of lacrosse, Albany cruised to a 13-7 America East victory.

Admittedly, I was surprised when I saw this score. The 13-7 win by UAlbany over Stony Brook smelled of the Danes playing down to an opponent. Then I found out that Connor Fields and Justin Reh sat this one out and the world made sense again.

Albany came out and scored the games first four goals to jump out to an early 4-0 lead, but Stony Brook put together their own three goal run to get within 4-3, and kept things reasonably close going into the half down 8-5.

Stony Brook got hit after the break and scored the first goal of the half to get within 8-6, but Albany went on a three goal run to extend their lead to 11-6 and never looked back.

Tehoka Nanticoke lead all scorers on the day with 2 goals and 3 assists and despite missing Fields and Reh, the Danes found numerous ways to score on their way to the win.
