The Johns Hopkins Blue Jays hosted Ohio State on Saturday at Homewood Field in Baltimore and rode a four goal effort from Cole Williams and solid play between the pipes by Brock Turnbaugh to a 13-10 win over the Buckeyes.
Shack Stanwick also factored heavily in the contest with a goal and 3 assists. Usual suspects Joel Tinney (1g, 2a), Kyle Marr (2g) and Brinton Valis (2g) all made a show on the day putting up much needed points for Hopkins. Turnbaugh stood strong at a few key points of the game where Ohio State was threatening, and his 11 saves factored heavily in the three goal victory.
Tre Leclaire netted himself a hatrick for Ohio State and teammate Jackson Reid put up 2 goals with a helper.
The Jays are now 8-2, winners of seven straight games. Ohio State has now dropped their last five contests and falls to 5-6 on the season and they still have to face Michigan, Maryland and Rutgers, all tough matchups.
