Syracuse lacrosse was dealt an early season loss at home at the hands of the Colgate Red Raiders by a score of 12-9. Colgate jumped out to an early lead, and Syracuse could never get things knotted back up.
Nicky Petkevich lead Colgate with 4 goals on the day and teammate Duncan Hoskinson was good for 3 goals. Griffin Brown went for a goal and 2 helpers in the win.
Syracuse was led by Brendan Curry who scored 3 goals and an assist and Nate Solomon was good for a hatrick. David Lipka put up 1 goal and an assist on in the loss. Stephen Rehfuss was held scorless on the day.
Connor Mullen was incredible in cage for Colage putting up 11 saves. Drake Porter didn’t look bad for the Cuse knotting 15 saves of his own as Syracuse’s defense looked terrible.
