#4 Yale hosted #3 Cornell and the Bulldogs came away winners by a score of 16-11. Yale jumped out to a 3-0 lead, finished the first quarter up 3-1 and never allowed Cornell to get within reach.
Matt Brandau went nuts for Yale putting up a career high 6 goals and 2 assists and teammate Matt Gaudet put up 5 goals in the Yale win. Brian Tevlin and jackson Morrill each went 2 and 2 for Yale as well.
John Piatelli had a big day for Cornell scoring 4 goals and 1 dish and Clarke Petterson was good for 4 goals and 2 helpers. Jeff Teat was quiet on the day and held to only a goal and an assist.
TD Ierlan won 24-30 face-offs making it nearly impossible for Cornell to get anything going.
