Virginia came into the dome and shocked the Syracuse lacrosse faithful as Syracuse held a lead through most of the game right up until Virginia scored in overtime to take the ACC matchup away from Syracuse.
Michael Kraus factored heavily for Virginia putting up 3 goals and 3 assists on the day, torching the Syracuse defense. Ian Laviano was good for 2 goals and a helper and teammate Dox Aitken scored a hatrick for UVA.
Syracuse was lead by Bradley Voigt’s hatrick and Brendan Curry was good for 2 goals and a dish. Stephen Rehfuss has finally started to look like his usually self for Syracuse going for 2 goals and an assist.
Hard fought game for both teams and that’s what you’d expect from a Syracuse and Virginia matchup at the dome.
