The Loyola Greyhounds had a good run with Pat Spencer suiting up for them between 2016 and 2019. Over his career, he put up 149 goals, 231 assists and 380 points. Add to that a Tewaaraton Award in 2019, and one of the truest statements on earth is that “Pat Spencer will be impossible for Loyola to replace”.

The way he dominated opposing players and other teams in 2019 is a thing of legend. He bullied the poor souls tasked with guarding him. It’s hard to go back and find another player that physically trashed on everyone he faced through the season. Pat Spencer was a man among boys.

In 2019, he goes for 49 goals, 65 assists, 114 points, 3 game-winning goals, 2 man-up goals and 37 groundballs.

It was crazy. It was awesome.

And then instead of playing pro lacrosse after he finishes his senior year, he decides to go to Northwestern as a super-senior to play a year of D1 college basketball. That’s awesome.

EVEN BETTER, he plays his first exhibition game for Northwestern and….19 points of 8-9 shooting, 1-2 from 3-point land. CRAZY.

Pat Spencer. The boss of all bosses in 2019. He contribution to college lacrosse in 2019 will be impossible to replace.
