The biggest game in this glorious weekend of college lacrosse is #4 Maryland taking on #5 Syracuse in the Dome on Saturday as the days nightcap. It will be Joey Spallina and the Syracuse offense taking on Ajax Zapitello and the Maryland defense. The battle at the faceoff dot between Kohn and Wierman should be fun to watch.
3 Virginia will travel to take on #17 Richmond. The Spiders only lost to Maryland by a goal in 2OT’s, so they are battle tested and ready to go against a Virginia team that could be scary good offensively this year.
7 Army will travel a short distance to take on #11 Rutgers. I like Army in this one, but Rutgers has a very good offensive team. #20 Loyola against #9 Hopkins should also be a very good game with a similar rivalry to Army and Rutgers.
